Thank you for selecting AAG filters.
● The filters should not be used in flows in
excess of their technical specifications.
● The filters should not be used in
pressures in excess of their maximum pressure. (Pmax = 16 bar)
● If the compressed air used in inhaled by
people it should be strictly filtered through active carbon filter.
● The filters should be installed on
plumbing by taking note of the "air flow direction" marked on them.
● The filters should be installed at a
location which is as cool as possible and away from the compressor and near
the location of use. ● The measured temperature of oil capture
rates of the filters in the catalog is 21°C. As
temperature increases, the amount of oil increase. Maximum operating
temperature is 55°C.
The maximum operating temperature of active carbon filter is 25°C.
● Wet or damaged filter internal
components should not be used.
● The components cannot be cleaned by
applying reverse air, washing or by other methods. This is due to the fact
that it is not possible to clean a filter element which has absorbed oil.
● Dirty or clogged internal components
should definitely be replaced.
● The lifetime of practical internal
components is 3-6 months on the average depending on the cleanliness of the
ambient air the compressor sucks and daily operating hours.
● Filters are installed on the plumbing
based on thier sensitivity. Respectively they are "General Purpose", "Medium
Sensitivity" and "Active Carbon".
● If the filter does not have automatic
condensate discharge, the condensate collected (Water+Oil mixture) should be
discharged at specific intervals depending on ambient conditions by opening
the bottom valve.
●The water, oil and dirt accumulated on
the bottom filter tray can be discharged in two ways:
1) Discharge Valve (Manual
2) Electronic timer discharge (Automatic)

To see
whether filter internal component is clogged, the pressure differential
between the input and output pressures of the filters is observed.
● The internal component should be
replaced when the pressure differential reaches 0,7 bar. You may read the
pressure differential directly with the "Differential Monometer" we supply
as a standard accessory with filters, and see whether the component need to
be replaced. (When the indicator is on the red the filter internal component
is dirty. If this warning is not noted and the filter internal component is
replaced the internal component paper cannot stand the pressure difference
and ruptures after a (variable) time; when this happens the indicator is
again on green. The internal component seems to be clean. This causes
mistakes. Even though the indicator shows green the internal component
should be visually checked (every 3-6 months) ●When the filter
internal component is required to be replaced, the compressed air at the
input and outputs of the filter should be blocked and the compressed air in
the filter should be discharged and the filter bottom casing should be
removed. Otherwise the casing pops out of place and causes work accidents. ●
You can easily replace internal component without taking down the filter
from the installation.
● In filters with aluminum bodies the
bottom tray which is screwed to the upper tray is taken out. The internal
component is taken out by turning it counter clockwise and replaced with a
new component.
● In filters with steel bodies the bottom
tray is bolted to the upper tray. Only the bottom tray is taken down and the
component or components inside are replaced.
NOTE : To place orders for a new filter
or cartridge it is sufficient that you read and tell us the filter or
internal component type from the label on the upper tray of the filter .
