Note : The hear regeneration (DK) air dryers with ambient air heating are produced  in model range Model 630 to Model 9600.

Utilization Areas Based on Sector and Recommended Dewing Points

Above are stated the utilization areas of compressed air in major sectors and dewing point ranges recommended in these areas. As can be understood by this table the required dewing point in many application areas is below -16 °C (is the lowest dewing point the cooling compressed air dryer reaches, the dewing point at 7 bars of +2  °C). For this reason in areas where sensitive production is required physical air dryer and low dewing points are needed.

Operation Principle of Physical Type Compressed Air Dryer

Physical Type Compressed Air Dryer consists of 2 pressure
chambers, 2 direction valves, 2 discharge valves and 1 regeneration
valve and 4 diffusers.  Solenoid valves are opened by controlling
from the control panel.

The direction valve on the side of the opened solenoid is closed and
causes the air to pass the other way. The air dries at the side it passes and
exits again from the direction valve.

A specific portion of the dry air passes thru the regeneration valve and expands
and absorbs the water particles remaining at the previous drying and exits from the
open solenoid and regenerates the system.

4 Phases of Drying

1- Left solenoid is open and direction valves close the passage to left tube. Compressed air enters the dryer and dries in the right tube and exits the system from the upper direction valve. Regeneration takes place in the left tube and moisture is expelled from the left solenoid.

2-
Pressure balancing takes place in both tubes.

3- Right solenoid is open and direction valves close the passage to right tube. Compressed air enters the dryer and dries in the left tube and exits the system from the upper direction valve. Regeneration takes place in the right tube and moisture is expelled from the right solenoid.

4- Pressure balancing takes place in both tubes.
